Transport Canada invites you to the 2024 Salish Sea Strategy Symposium. The Symposium will be held at the Vancouver Convention Centre on January 23 – 24, 2023, with in person and livestreamed sessions. The Symposium is an event held under the OPP’s Salish Sea Strategy, which aims to establish a shared level of understanding of existing work across the Salish Sea. The theme of this event is “Building on our past, advancing our future”. The two days will include presentations, panel discussions, fireside chats, workshops, information booths and opportunities for networking.
To register for the Symposium, please click here. There is limited space for in-person attendance, so they encourage early registration.
Participation from Indigenous Peoples, coastal communities and stakeholders is essential to the Salish Sea Strategy. Funding to support Symposium participation is available through Transport Canada’s Community Participation Funding Program (CPFP). Participants who receive funding through Transport Canada’s Indigenous and Local Communities Engagement and Partnership Program (ILCEPP) are asked to email tc.cpfp-pfpc.tc@tc.gc.ca before applying. Approval is required before expenditures are incurred. For eligibility requirements, application deadlines and to submit an application, please visit: https://www.tc.gc.ca/en/services/marine/apply-cpfp-funding.html.
