The two-day, fully-online Ichthyology course presented by NRTG provides a comprehensive overview of fish phylogeny, ecology, and physiology. Participants will review in detail the characteristics that distinguish major extant groups of fishes. Participants will explore, compare, and contrast fish anatomy (internal and external), physiology (skeletal and muscle system, respiration, buoyancy, digestive, circulatory and reproductive systems, electro-, chemo- and mechanoreception, vision, and osmoregulation) and ecology (feeding, diet, growth, breeding, migration, and environmental adaptations).
