Fall 2025 Offering – GVI (F25) Blended Course

The Grassland Vegetation Inventory (GVI) is a land cover and land use classification system specific to grassland regions. This course introduces concepts related to grassland ecosystem mapping, including:
- Components of grassland ecosystems
- Interpretation of imagery
- Classification of GVI site types (e.g., range sites)
The course is delivered through a blended format combining self-paced modules, offline activities, and instructor-led sessions. Completion of all activities, quizzes, and a final exam is required for certification.
The course is available anytime following registration, though the interactive class portion is offered Friday, December 12, 2025.
