Submissions open for 2023 LMSF

The College is now accepting submissions for the 2023 Linda Michaluk Scholarship Fund award

The Linda Michaluk Scholarship (LMS) is a scholarship of $2,500 established to honour the contributions to the College of Applied Biologists by the founding Chief Executive Officer (Executive Director). The purpose of the scholarship is to provide financial assistance to a Master or Doctor of Philosophy degree candidate at a Canadian university whose project advances science-informed decisions/decision making in the public interest with respect to natural resources in Canada or advancing science-informed decisions/decision-making includes supporting the development of legislation (Acts), regulations or policies that affect the practice(s) of natural resource management in Canada.

THE 2023 LINDA MICHALUK SCHOLARSHIP IS MADE POSSIBLE BY A GENEROUS DONATION FROM THE BC FOREST PRACTICES BOARD.

Eligibility and requirements can be found on the LMSF page. To apply:

  • Complete the LMS application form
  • Provide your proof of enrollment in a graduate program in PDF format using the uploader
  • Provide your reference letters in PDF format using the uploader

All applications must be received in full (LMS Form, Reference Letters and proof of enrollment in a graduate program in Canada) by Thursday, November 30, 2023. The 2023 recipient will be announced in December 2023. Questions regarding the scholarship can be addressed to tory.davis@cab-bc.org.
