College bylaws revised as of February 17, 2023
The College’s bylaws have been revised to come into compliance with the Professional Governance Amendment Act. The revisions have been filed with the minister and are in effect as of February 17, 2023.
The College of Applied Biologists Council has approved revisions to the College bylaws that bring the bylaws into compliance with the Professional Governance Amendment Act, more clearly explain the consequences for administrative non-compliance and apply various operational adjustments that allow the College to more efficiently complete its ongoing statutory tasks.
Revisions to the bylaws include:
- Changes to nomenclature
- Measures to address administrative non-compliance to align with the Professional Governance Amendment Act
- Adjustments to the maximum number of registrant members that participate on various committees

Revisions to the College bylaws are undertaken with support from the College’s legal counsel and in accordance with the Office of the Superintendent of Professional Governance. Questions regarding the bylaws can be submitted to the College office.
